Raised bilingually in northern Italy, Kiki is a travel writer specialising in Italy. The constant need to adjust to two cultures and switch between mother tongues undoubtedly triggered an interest in the aesthetics of life and languages. An inveterate traveller, Kiki was educated at Cambridge University from where she holds a degree in French and Spanish literature.

Kiki is The Telegraph‘s Milan and Italian Lakes expert, and regularly reviews hotels in the area for the Hotelegraph. She contributes to a broad range of UK nationals and magazines, and has seen her words published in The Times, Condé Nast Traveller, The Guardian, The Independent, Metro UK and Lonely Planet, among others. In August 2020, Kiki’s article When Venice Ruled the World won Best Single Article at the Digiday Media Awards Europe. In February 2025, Kiki was named ‘Ambassador of Lake Como’ by the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce for the extensive work she has done writing about Lake Como.

She has completed numerous guidebook writing assignments for major travel titles including Rough Guides, Fodor’s, Time Out and Dorling Kindersley. Her travel writing assignments for Rough Guides have taken her across the globe to Venezuela, Morocco, Peru, Italy, the Philippines, Russia, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore and Guatemala. These projects have so far involved in-depth on the ground research in six languages and have covered hundreds of towns and cities.

Kiki is the author of Journey Through The Philippines, a travel pictorial on the country’s food, culture, traditions and attractions. Kiki was a guest on American presenter Rick Steves’ award-winning programme Travel with Rick Steves, where she spoke about her time travelling in the Philippines (interview below).
